Relaxing your body, mind, and spirit

January 25, 2018

A couple of months after my daughter was born, I got a massage.  Being a new parent is very stressful and I needed some time to relax my muscles.  Everything felt tight, especially my neck.

During my massage, I relaxed my muscles as best I could and proceeded to think about life. One of my thoughts that still sticks with me today was how it is really easy to relax your muscles.  Just book an appointment with a masseuse and go.  You can even have a masseuse come to your place!  If you’re super impatient or need quick relief immediately, you can buy a shiatsu machine.

Then I thought about the mind.  How does one relax the mind? Just book an appointment with Psychiatrist therapist. This one is a bit tougher since you can’t really ask one to come to your  place or buy a machine that can help you figure out what's going in your head.

Then lastly, I thought about the spirit. How does one relax the spirit? Faith in your religion, in humanity, or in yourself.  To me, faith is love.  I don’t know if anyone could really explain love, but when you trust in love, receive love and always give love back, your spirit will be filled with joyfulness.

Obviously this is easier said than done.

Relaxing your spirit to also help ease your mind and body is the hardest thing to do. You can’t hire someone to do this for you and you certainly can’t buy a machine for this. Your spirit relies on you to empathize, understand and love others and have faith that others will do the same for you.

Man. That was a great massage.
