Don’t announce you’ll do something. Just do it.

June 19, 2017

I remember when I went in for a job interview. I answered every question very well and even felt the vibe that I already had gotten the job.  I felt so confident about it that I just had to tell a few friends about it and even started thinking about my life at that job.

Then, after weeks of hearing nothing from the employer, I learned that someone else got the position.

I remember when I told people that I’m going to start losing weight. I didn’t.

I remember when I told people that I was going to start redesigning my site. I haven’t started yet.

Instead of telling people what you’re going to do, just do it.  When the task is done, that is when you can announce your thing.
